The Artist and the Soldier
The Artist and the Soldier is a poetry collection shaped in the chaos between a stay-home-mom aspiring to be an artist while her husband is often away on military duties. They love each other deeply, but get distracted by everyday life and missing each other while pursuing their dreams and pouring love into their little family. It’s love, resilience, dreaming, and growing in the struggle. Overcoming old challenges and facing new ones, whatever it is, they do it together, even if they are miles apart.

Behind the Ink
There was a time when I didn’t keep many things.
Not journals. Not keepsakes. Not proof that small moments mattered.
So now, I make them.
The pages you find here are shaped by quiet rebuilding — by learning how to create the kind of atmosphere I once wished for. Gentle. Thoughtful. Unrushed.
I don’t write because everything is perfect.
I write because creating something steady feels like a way forward.
If you recognize yourself in that, this space was made with you in mind.
Read With Me
Tucked into this corner of the studio is something simple — a quiet, ongoing book club of sorts.
I’m not a book critic, and I’ve never written formal reviews. These are simply notes, thoughts, and reflections I gather as I read — shared here in case you’d like to read alongside me.
If a story calls to you, you’re warmly invited to join in. Whether you’ve already read it, are reading now, or plan to someday, this space is open for you to linger, reflect, and share your thoughts too.
There’s no pressure, no schedule — just stories, and the experience of reading them together.
Next From The TBR
The next book waiting in this space is For Whom the Belle Tolls by Jaysea Lynn.
If you’ve read it, I’d love to hear your thoughts. If it’s been on your list, consider this your gentle nudge to pick it up and join in.
A Few Cozy Things
If you enjoy slow moments like this, you might also like a few cozy things from the studio — journals for your own thoughts, or something soft to keep nearby while you read.
Stay a While
New stories are added gently.
Join the list if you’d like to be told when a new page is waiting.
